We want to start this article by making clear: The current state of our server connection is not what we want it to be. Roughly every hour, the server disappears for 15 to 30 seconds before coming back, and sometimes it stays unreachable for hours at a time. This is an unacceptable situation, and any frustration is totally understandable.
The good news is that the problem lies not with the Minecraft server itself, but with its connection to the internet. While we work on a permanent fix, the following is an immediate first step.
The current plan
Starting soon: A dedicated fallback server for builders that will run 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, completely independent of the main server’s connection issues. Every morning, it will receive a fresh copy of the world files from the regular server, keeping the builds and progress always up to date.
The fallback server will run 24/7 regardless of the main server’s connectivity. It is primarily designed to keep builders building, especially in cases of longer downtimes.
I sincerely apologize for the inconveniences of the past few days and any disruptions that may still occur while the underlying issue is being resolved. We are working hard behind the scenes to make sure that Minedorf is as stable, smooth, and enjoyable as it should be.
